Wedding Flowers Purple

Growing older everybody seeks to become wiser, to approach life in a more mature way hoping that each experience he/she comes across with  to bring a perspective towards life that allows them to pass over the generations to come. Every event that takes place in our lives leaves marks on our conscience, whether we are aware of them or not, but they certainly do influence part of who we are. One of these events is the wedding celebration, maybe one of the most important ‘happening’ that crosses our life. It is far from being a ‘happening’ since we thoroughly plan it and totally get involved in its displaying. Through its celebration we hope to find its meaning reflected in the future life as a couple, totally new frontiers opening in front of our eyes, and because of this unknown waiting for us we try to convey our wedding a symbol to be carried in the future time.

Therefore couples permanently seek to wrap themselves in the aura of symbolism and draw elements that bring significance to the wedding occasion. One of these elements is wedding flower. Choosing the color for the flowers is also of importance since colors carry within themselves so many symbols. A color which its symbol has to do with spiritual fulfillment is purple. In meditation is often used in order to have peace of mind. Not to mention that it was Cleopatra’s favorite color; this is the reason why it is now seen as symbolic color of magic, mystery and royalty.

Besides purple is considered to be the color that makes your imagination and inspiration run at their maximum capacity, the color that re-balance your life and removes obstacles.

For these reasons wedding flowers purple, such as lavender, lilac, orchid and violets are used to decorate the bridal bouquets, the bridesmaids’ bouquets and the spaces of a wedding ceremony. The purple tint comes also in deep or bright suggesting riches and light purple representing more romance and delicacy. Very nice bridal bouquet can come out of the combinations of lavender roses, lisanthus with a variety of Florigene purple carnations or purple anemones with white sweet peas or Florigene Moondust carnations with a flower used as filler and called Limonium.

Also the table centerpieces can contain wedding flowers purple in a variety of purple carnations in the arrangements, as well as lavender edged alstromeria or purple lisanthus and lavender roses. The choice of this color goes well enough with the sparkling white of your wedding dress so if you want to add a touch of distinction that relates to the spirituality of your wedding event then you’d better select purple flowers that are of nice contrast with everything that was known before to belong to the floral element of a wedding.
