Wedding Flowers Arrangements

Henry Beecher once stated that flowers are the things that God ever created to be very sweet but unfortunately forgot to put soul into them. I have to say that I disagree with him, and not because flowers aren’t sweet, but because they do have a soul of their own, only we are too unaware of it, and not because they talk to us and we do not hear, but because they transmit their delicacy and grandeur for after that to slightly fade away. The fact is that the moment a flower is dislocated from its natural environment its aspect wilts for in the end to totally vanish, and if this isn’t because they have indeed their soul, then what is?

But yet, we need them, we feel the instant urge to pick up a flower whenever we see its beauty offering for free to our eyes and heart. It is the same urge to feel ourselves surrounded by this beauty when we cross our most important moments in life, one of these moments being the celebration of the wedding event. Flowers are seen as part of the natural setting integrated in the big picture of a wedding festivity, both ceremonial and reception-al. Most of the wedding couples prefer to have the freshness of flowers displayed in the atmosphere of their wedding celebration either it is held outdoors or indoors. This happens because the presence of the natural flowers brings a sparkle of joy, color and life inside the atmosphere of the wedding festivity.

Someone once said that flowers are the earth’s smile; this is a saying which tests its authenticity especially in the frames of an event that is meant to bring smiles on the faces of everybody present. The wedding flowers are offered in vast ranges of colors, of types of blooms, each one of them carrying their own symbol, speaking its own language according to which one sort of flower is preferred over another. And starting with the first part of a wedding, the wedding ceremony, which either is held outdoors or indoors, unfolds the presence of wedding flowers arrangements which is more than overwhelming.

As such we meet spaces in the church that are filled with the elegance of calla lilies in wedding flowers arrangements of the altar or delicate and perfumed hyacinths to embellish the pews in the church. There are also garlands of various flowers to adorn the doors of the worship place for everybody from outside to see that there is a wedding going on.

There are flowers to decorate the candelabras, the Unity Candle stand and almost everything that seems lifeless thus requiring the presence of ‘lively’ things.

Flowers inside the wedding décor are also the ones used for table arrangements of the wedding reception part, for the chairs, used in combination with various decorative items such as candles, glass recipients, colorful ribbons, decorative plants and many, many others. In this respect the aid of a florist decorator is more than precious; therefore a bride-to-be should definitely appeal to his/her assistance in order to find the best decorative solution which involves the presence of nature’s best expression of beauty: flowers.
