If you’re planning a romantic wedding held on a beach or perhaps on a tropical island or coast, then you should start searching for tropical wedding flowers that go with wedding cakes. When you go shopping for exotic wedding flowers, don’t forget to buy flowers for the wedding cake too. The most incredible thing about exotic wedding cakes adorned and embellished with tropical flowers is that they can lift up the wedding atmosphere in a second, and make the guests feel more invited, comfortable, charmed and impressed.
Among the most popular types of tropical wedding flowers that go with wedding cakes that you can buy from specialized flower stores or online, are: bird f paradise, calla lilies, star gazer lilies, orchids, jasmines, hibiscus, heliconia, lavender, anthurium or cerise gerbera daises.
But you can also use any other type of vibrantly and rich colored wedding flowers that you can buy from any local flower store, such as roses, peonies, tulips, chrysanthemums, asters, sunflowers, anemones, gladiolas, narcissus, freesias, hydrangeas, delphiniums, hyacinths or daffodils. You can also use tropical leaves and fruits such as strelitzia leaves, palm tree leaves, sage, mint, ivy leaves, pineapples, mangos, limes, coconuts, apricots, bananas, cheery or orange blossoms, cranberries, blueberries, strawberries or pina colada. You can place these seasonal decorations on each tier of the wedding cake, following different patterns, in cascading styles, between the tiers – if the cake is designed on a pillar stand or on top of the cake as a refreshing and appetizing topper.
To complement the nautical feel and the natural exotic theme of the wedding you can use all kinds of real, fake or edible confections and accessories or jewels such as pearls, seashells, corals, flags, ropes, starfishes, dolphins, butterflies, doves, bandanas, strings, bows, brooches, lace appliqués, curtains, sequins, crystals, diamonds, precious rhinestones or gems to enrich a tropical themed wedding cake and make it more impressive, glamorous, personalized and sparkling.
