Apart from this, fertility is another meaning of wedding bouquet. As flowers and herbs bloom so the fertility had to be in grooms’ life. This was an important aspect so that the flowers were very carefully selected, according to each one’s signification; for example aphrodisiac herbs were very requested, as they had a powerful influence.

Going further, another significance of wedding bouquet is the happiness. The bride’s bouquet is the symbol of shared love and consequently, of the happiness of this fact. So, the traditional wedding requires the groom to give to his bride the bouquet before going to the church.

The same meaning is for the throwing the bouquet, at the end of the wedding party.
