Compared to other types of bouquets, such as the nosegay, the posy or the hand tied style, the cascading bouquet is a bit more ample and unpractical to wear on the day. We must mention here that there are more and more brides of today who are interested in keeping their hands free during the wedding ceremony and that is why they are tempted to choose something even more practical and cozy, such as a pomander style bouquet (also known under the name of “kissing ball” bouquet).
Nevertheless, there are still many contemporary brides who decide to go with a cascading wedding bouquet that is made with a more modern looking type of flower or in a more fashionable and chic style. Destination brides are the ones who usually pick cascading bouquets especially because they choose to go with orchids and orchids look more attractive and extraordinary when used in their natural and original long stems. Well, an orchid cascading wedding bouquet can surely look more modern and voguish because of the lovely and sensual orchids.
But these aren’t the only types of flowers that can make a cascading style arrangement look more appealing and fashionable, but calla lilies, amaryllises, gardenias or magnolias too. You just have to pick a less popular type of flower that you think it can work with the cascading design and see whether you find the arrangement more suitable for your contemporary wedding ceremony. We must mention that a cascading wedding bouquet may not make the perfect selection for petite brides who have a shorter and a slimmer frame and silhouette.
It’s very important for a bride to choose the wedding bouquet according to her height, stature or figure in order to look at the best and appropriate on the wedding day. Tall and full figure brides should definitely opt for a dramatic extravagant cascading wedding bouquet because their stature allows them to do it. Petite brides will look camouflaged behind a too elaborated and ample bouquet like the cascading one is. Their wonderful wedding dress will always pass unseen behind the bouquet.
This is a really interesting idea…to choose a wedding flower bouquets according to how tall you are…and I must say that the pictures are quite nice….Now that I have read this article I understand why the brides always look better in the pictures that are posted on the Internet…as if their flower bouquet, their dress, shoes and accessories had been especially made for them and how other types of wedding flower bouquets might not have been as appropriate as these ones. Cascading wedding bouquets are quite special and even if we do not see them every day they would certainly be appropriate for a modern wedding as well as long as the appropriate flowers are chosen for creating them
