Dahlia Wedding Flowers

Dahlias are known to be the flowers that have their peak of blossom in July and lasting till the first frost, which normally occurs in mid October in some regions or mid November in others. It comes in a variety of colors from red, to dark shades of red, white, a sparkling white that is displayed in the richness of the multi-petalled dahlia, yellow, pink, orange or variegated as well, in this case combining white with dark purple, or light yellow with dark orange. The spectrum of colors combination is vast indeed that is the reason why dahlias are sometimes hard to be decided upon.

Choosing dahlias as floral element of your wedding celebration is a choice that requires carefulness, since they are known to wilt quite fast (perhaps sooner than 3 or 4 days after being delivered) and in this respect you should check with a florist advice first in order to know what is the best moment to have dahlia wedding flowers ordered for the celebration of your special day. Selecting the flowers from the vast range of wedding flowers existing out there on the florist markets is sometimes hard, ands it might occur that you instantly fall in love with a certain bloom and to realize that it may not last in the atmosphere of your wedding.

You have to take into account the fact that this celebration implies spending a lot of time with a fresh flower bouquet in your hands and your bridesmaids' too, not to mention that the space of the ceremony hall and reception hall as well also requires the presence of the floral decoration and you wouldn't like for your beloved flower to wilt and eventually fade its beauty away when its beauty is the one that is needed the most.

I have this friend of mine that got acquainted with the bloom of dahlias, and the first thought that came into her mind the moment her wedding day was established, was that she would definitely include dahlia wedding flowers as choices of her wedding decoration and table arrangements. But she had no clue about the demanding way to preserve this flower freshness. Lucky her that before ordering them, she took a look in one of the wedding flowers websites and discovered that she should first check on the local florist in regard to dahlias used as wedding flowers. Their availability, their appearance, their preservation, every single aspect of these features, she was supposed to take notice, in this way being able to use the dahlia's beauty at its fullest.

I remember her telling me that in those days of the big decision, the choice of color was again one of her problem, but her mother and bridesmaid have advised her to go for the palette of colors that works well with her attire. She wore on her wedding day, a red and white gown and for her dahlia wedding flowers colors used to decorate the bridal bouquets had picked up the pink ball dahlias next to some white roses to complete the traditional couture of a white gown decorated with red floral motifs on the bodice and skirt. I wouldn't have thought that pink as a light and soft color will make such a beautiful combination with the white of the roses, but I admit that I was wrong: they work gorgeous together!
