Beach Wedding Flowers

When organizing a beach wedding, the bride should try as much as possible to connect the decorations with the theme. The scenery is the central decoration and all the other elements should be chosen only to complement it. Although it is easy to create beautiful floral arrangements, brides must keep in mind that those chosen for a beach-themed wedding should have some characteristics that will make the invitees understand their connection with the theme.

There isn’t a set of flowers that is destined to be used only at beach-themed weddings and also even if some flowers are perfect for any wedding regardless of its theme it doesn’t mean that they cannot be used at a beach-themed wedding. As long as the colors mingle with those of the beach and they provide a beautiful overall image, it means that the flowers were chosen correctly.

However, there are some flowers that will fit the scene better than others could and when using them it will be easier for the bride to obtain a correct floral arrangement, that doesn’t look inappropriate. One idea would be to use orchids, especially if the wedding is a formal one. To make a wonderful arrangement that complements nature’s beauty, purchase glass cylinders, fill them with water and submerge orchids in each of them, then place them on a bed of white sand in the center of the tables. If you wish to have centerpieces that include some beach motifs, fill the cylinders with sand dollars, seashells and starfishes and simply place a bouquet of orchids or hydrangeas on top of each.

Beach wedding flowers should match the level of formality that this event has. Many times, a beach wedding doesn’t follow a pattern and has many elements of ingenuity incorporated in the ceremony and afterwards in the reception. It doesn’t have to be a formal celebration and most of the times couples choose the location especially for this reason. If this is your case too, you should think of ways to design beautiful centerpieces that aren’t that elegant, but are still chic and amazing. To give an example, mixtures of tropical flowers look great on tables, but to add a note of uniqueness they should be placed in interesting containers such as hollowed out coconuts or pineapples.
